Mike DeSimone Joins Newfire as Chief Delivery Officer
Newfire Global Partners, a strategic technology and advisory partner for digital health and enterprise organizations, today announced that Mike DeSimone has joined the company as Chief Delivery Officer. In this role, Mike will help strengthen Newfire’s delivery organization as the company continues its evolution toward deeper accountability for client outcomes, execution quality, and long-term business impact.
Mike brings more than three decades of healthcare leadership experience across operations, product, client services, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and P&L management. Throughout his career, he has helped healthcare companies scale effectively, improve financial performance, expand into new markets, and move through critical stages of growth.
Mike will play an important role in Newfire’s next phase, helping lead and shape the entire customer journey during a time of significant change and opportunity across our industry. His experience leading complex businesses, aligning teams around client goals, and turning strategy into execution will be incredibly valuable.

As Chief Delivery Officer, Mike will focus on advancing Newfire’s delivery model, strengthening execution across client engagements, and ensuring that teams remain closely aligned with the business outcomes clients need to achieve. His appointment reflects Newfire’s continued investment in delivery leadership as the company expands its work with digital health, healthcare technology, and tech-enabled healthcare organizations.
Background on Mike DeSimone
Before joining Newfire, Mike served as General Manager, Medicine at Ascend Learning. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer at innovaTel Telepsychiatry, a national telepsychiatry provider focused on improving access to behavioral health and addiction treatment. At innovaTel, he helped structure, negotiate, and manage the company’s acquisition by Quartet Health, supporting the founders’ goals of increasing impact in behavioral healthcare while delivering a strong return on investment.
Mike has also held senior leadership roles at Verge Health, Best Doctors, McKesson, MedVentive, IMS Health, Assurant Employee Benefits, and Private Healthcare Systems. His experience includes managing P&Ls of more than $40 million, launching healthcare product and service offerings into new markets, reversing declining financial performance, and building high-performing teams across healthcare, disability, pharmaceutical, and absence management markets.
